Day 1 : Hometown - New York City (2016-12-23, Friday)

Welcome to the Big Apple and Merry Christmas! Upon arrival, you will be met at the baggage claim area of your selected airline by our professional tour guide, and then be escorted to the hotel on our scheduled shuttle bus for rest. For those passengers who arrive at JFK and LGA meeting point before 8:30 am, you will have the opportunity to enjoy our half day special city tour. Afterward, we will transfer you to the hotel for rest.

We offer pick-up service for JFK, LGA and EWR airports. Half day special city tour available only for arrivals before 8:30 am. Free pick up service is available between 8:30 am and 10:00 pm.

Day 2 : New York - Philadelphia - Washington DC. (2016-12-24, Saturday)

On the second day of our New York bus tour, you’ll get to visit some of the most influential sites in United States history. In Philadelphia you’ll get to visit Independence Hall, so named because it was here the Declaration of Independence was born. It was also at this site that George Washington became commander in chief of the continental army. At this site rests Liberty Bell, a symbol of freedom in America since the days of the revolution. Next up we trek to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. and some of its famous monuments. First we’ll take you to the Lincoln Memorial that houses a 20 foot seated statue of the 16th president and words from some of his famous speeches to the American people. Then you’ll get to go to the Jefferson Memorial ---- a tribute to the founding father and drafter of the Declaration of Independence. From here it’s on to the White House and the Capitol, the legislative and executive cores of the country. Following that, we’ll pay our respects to those that gave their lives for the cause of freedom at the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam War Memorial. The tour also takes you to the National Air and Space Museum which is part of the Smithsonian Institution and is the worlds finest museum and research complex. Day 5 : Boston - Rhode Island Breakers Mansion - Boston (2016-12-27, Tuesday)

Get a close view of Boston’s landmarks ----- Trinity Church and John Hancock Tower on Copley Square, century old State House, national first public park Boston Common. Take the harbor cruise and enjoy the fantastic view of this historic city. Have a real Bostonian lunch at the Quincy Market. Next up we travel to Newport Rhode Island where we will visit the famed Breakers Mansion. Once the extravagant home of the Vanderbilt family, the 700 room mansion overlooks the Atlantic Ocean gets its name from the crashing of the waves on the cliffs below. Today, our adventure takes us to the United States Military Academy at West Point. This famed Academy is a national landmark, and home to many historic monuments and buildings. Day 8 : New York City Sightseeing Day Tour (2016-12-30, Friday)

You have one day to see the Big Apple, New York City, but where do you go? Fortunately for you our one day tour of New York will be an experience you won’t forget. We begin our bus tour at the Wall Street - heart of the financial district of New York. Wall Street is synonymous with money and is home to the New York Stock Exchange.

From there we will visit Empire State Building. The famous Empire State building towers over the city at an astonishing 102 stories and was the world’s tallest building for 40 years. Also we will pass by some of the most famous buildings in New York - the United Nations Building, Freedom Tower and the Rockefeller Center. The UN building has served as the official headquarters of the United Nations since 1952. Ground Zero, memorial to commemorate 9/11 disaster is right next to the newly built skyscraper Freedom Tower. Named for John D. Rockefeller, the Rockefeller Center is a national historical landmark and home to Radio City Hall the 70 floor “30 Rock” building.

Day 10 : New York City - Hometown (2017-01-01, Sunday)

Happy New Year! With hundreds of pictures stored in your digital camera and wonderful memories in your mind, this should be the perfect ending of your multi-day bus tour with Tripedition.

Depends on your flight departure time, you have the following choices:

1) If the departure time of your return flights is before 2:00 pm, please arrange your own transportation to the airport or consult your tour guide for our airport transfer services with a nominal charge. 2) If the departure time of your return flights is between 2:00 - 7:00 pm, we do provide complimentary shuttle buses to the three major airports. 3) If the departure time of your return flights is after 7:00 pm, you may join us with a crazy shopping day at Jersey Gardens Outlet. A complimentary shuttle buses to the major airports will be provided in the late afternoon.

Departure and Return info.:

  1. We offer pick up service for JFK, LGA and EWR airports. Free pick up service is only available between 8:30 am and 10:00 pm. Any other time would incur $100 for 1st and 2nd passengers, $10 for each additional person.
  2. If you take the domestic flight, our tour guide will wait for you at the luggage claim area. If you take the international flight, our tour guide will wait for you on the curb out of the terminal.
  3. Optional NYC night tour available only for arrivals before 5:00 pm for an additional $25 fee.
  4. The tour ends at New York Airports (JFK, LGA and EWR). Please schedule flight to depart from New York airports after 7:00 pm.

Price for Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy applies when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. Thus, result in a lower per person price.

Maximum 4 guests in each hotel room (incl. kid and infant). Each standard hotel room comes with TWO full sizes or ONE queen size bed. Triple/Quadruple price does not guarantee a third/fourth bed in the room since each room is equipped with 2 beds. Roll-a-ways beds are regulations of each hotel; you are responsible for paying the additional cost for roll-a-way bed. Please check the availability at the time of check-in.

Late Cancellation or NO show of the Free-Fare passenger will result in $448 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat. The other participating passenger in the reservation is responsible for paying the penalty fee to the tour escort prior departure.

Trip Reservation Process:

All tours are open for early booking. It is recommended that customers should book tour at least two weeks before departure date. Bus seats will be pre-assigned after payment is made based on a first come first served basis. The following flowchart summarized the booking process.

  1. After you submitting your reservation online, you will receive a Pre-Order email within a couple of hours.
  2. Within 2 business days, we will send you a confirmation email to confirm your reservation of the trip. In this email, you could find the detailed boarding time and location of the trip, contact information of local service provider. Please print out this email with E-TICKET number as the boarding pass for the trip. Also, you can login to our website http://www.tripedition.com/index.php?route=account/login to check the status of your order.
  3. At the departure date, simply print out the E-TICKET if you have not already done so, and present it with your valid photo ID. Please note that this E-TICKET is the only proof of your purchase of the tour.
  4. Please make sure you have received our Final Confirmation Letter email with your E-ticket number before booking air tickets, extended hotel stays and etc., if applicable.

 

 

Your reservation is always subject to confirmation by email normally within two business days. Promotional offers such as BUY 2 GET 1 FREE and BUY 2 GET 2 FREE are provided and confirmed only on an availability basis. In the rare events (such as booking ONE day prior to the departure day), your reservation can not be confirmed by the service provider, a full refund will be credited back to your account.

The order of day-to-day itinerary is adjustable depending on tour start date of the week. For the detailed arrangement, please email or call the local service provider prior to departure date to re-confirm. Their contact info will be listed in your final confirmation email.

We reserve the right to change the hotel to another of equal or better standard than the hotel mentioned in the itineraries.

Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours may be combined to ensure fewer passengers operation.

We do not recommend infants younger than 2 years of age to join the tours, since our tour guides are not specially trained to provide service to these types of passengers and cannot be responsible for their well being.

 

 


Boarding Tips and Travel Documents:

If your flight is delayed or cancelled, please call the tour guide or our customer service at 1-888-503-6377 ASAP to reschedule the pickup. Please note, if your arrives after the free pickup time due to delayed flight, there will be a fee charged for the picking up.

All passengers must show E-TICKET (the boarding pass) for boarding.

Passengers are held solely responsible for their own valid travel documents.

 

 


Travel Insurance:

We are not responsible for any occur on or during the tour. It is optional that passengers to purchase travel insurance. By accepting our policy, passenger should agree that we shall hold no responsibilities includes but not limited to the following unforeseeable events such as weather, accident, bus break down, sickness, theft, itinerary changes, delays or cancellation. We are strongly advising you to purchase travel insurance before departure to insure compensations for the unexpected causes above. Such travel insurance can be purchased through third party insurance suppliers.

All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour guides and/or drivers guide. For driver guided tour, the language will be limited to English/Chinese.

Will the bus wait for me if I’m late?

Sorry. Tour buses will depart on time. Please be understandable this is a group tour, we have to satisfy the entire group for a smooth operation of the tour. We recommend you arrive at the departure location 15-30 minutes prior the depart time.


Is the drop-off location the same as boarding location for all Tripedition tours?

The tours usually pick-up and drop-off at the same locations unless otherwise stated in the tour Departure and Return Info page.


What happens if I forgot to bring proper travel documents on the boarding day (Passport, Green card, Visa, etc.)?

You can NOT board the bus. The tour guide shall check anyone's proper travel documents prior boarding. Bear in mind, when you can NOT board for this reason, this also triggers the reschedule fee or cancellation penalty. Please refer to the Special Notes section of your booked tour for proper travel documents.


How many pieces of baggage am I allowed to bring?

We recommend two pieces of standard sized baggage per passenger due to the load limitation of the motorcoach. If the tour is operated by 14 seats minibus, only ONE piece per passenger is allowed.


Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, only for motorcoach buses. However, we recommend the use of lavatory when there is a personal emergency. All our local service providers, try to maintain a clean environment on the bus, therefore, the bus will make rest stops along the way (every 2-3 hours) at highway service area. If you need to use the lavatory on the way, you may ask the tour guide to open it for your use.


What can we do if we choose not to go on the optional activities?

Optional activities are booked through the tour guide while you are on the tour. If you do not wish to participate in certain tour activities, you can hang around the tourist attraction as you like to. The tour guide will inform guests on the return time to the tour bus before he/she dismisses the group.


We are vegetarians, should I join the tour?

Definitely Yes. Meal breaks will be arranged at hotels, various ethnic restaurants, food courts, and fast food restaurants. There should be vegetarian food for you to choose from the menus.
