Itinerary

Day 1 : New York - Corning Glass Museum - Niagara Falls

We will get a bright and early start heading towards scenic upstate and Corning, the home of the Corning Museum of Glass. Over 3500 year of glassmaking history is exhibited in this elaborate and diverse collection of more than 40,000 items. The museum features an informative glass making show and unique demonstrations. You also have the opportunity to visit their gift shop where there is something for everyone. Afterwards the bus tour will take you to Niagara Falls. The Falls is collectively made from the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and are famous for their beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Through The Spirit of the Mist, the series of shows at Smokin Joes Native Center, we will experience the local Native American cultures. The show presented by the World Class Native Spirit Dancers. Come together as they take you on a journey of beautiful dance, traditional music and stories passed through the generations. Experience a full sensory show through exciting music, captivating dancing, exceptional costumes and genuine native singing. The show captures audiences of all ages! At night, you can enjoy breathtaking views when the intense spotlights shower the falls with different shades of rainbow colors. The Falls is also a place where many couples come to admire the beauty of the falls while enjoying a romantic evening.

Day 2 : Niagara Falls - Toronto

For those of you that think viewing the falls from afar isn’t enough, you’ll have the chance to hop aboard the Maid of the Mist. This unique boat tour takes you right up to the falls as millions of tons of water come crashing down near you. You’ll learn more about the legends of Niagara Falls in the IMAX Niagara Falls Experience. Be part of the daredevilry as you’re swept away on the 6 story screen and 12,000 watts of digital surround sound. From here we travel to the Canadian side of the falls where we will ascend the Skylon Tower, offering a panoramic view of the area. Don’t miss the fine dining in the revolving dining room. At 775 feet above the falls, this is the ultimate view of the falls. Our tour continues to Toronto, one of the largest cities in Canada. Here we will visit Toronto’s iconic city hall and parliament building ----- homes to the cities legislative heart. You won’t want to miss the chance to go up the CN Tower with its elephant-proof glass floor. With a 360 degree view of the city, it’s a view you won’t forget. Least but not last, don’t miss out on the cruise of Toronto Harbor for a beautiful view of the city's skyline from the water.

Day 3 : Toronto - Thousand Islands - Ottawa - Montreal

In the morning the bus tour will depart from Toronto and travel to the Thousand Islands where you can enjoy a relaxing boat ride in the St. Lawrence River (seasonal) to see the world famous Boldt Castle, Millionaires Row, and Zavikon Island with the "shortest international bridge in the world". Then the bus tour will head to Ottawa, the capital of Canada. There will be a short tour of the Parliament Building, the Centennial Flame, the Peace Tower Monument, Embassy District, and Rideau Canal. After a short stay, we will drive to the Montreal, known as “Paris of North America”, a French-speaking and second largest city of Canada. The 175-meter inclined Olympic Tower together with the 1976 Olympics stadium has become the symbol of the city. Montreal Biodome, right next to Olympic tower, is the second largest complex including botanical garden, zoo and aquarium. It has so many different varieties of animals and plants, well worth to watch. If time permits, we visit the Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal a basilica and national shrine. As the largest shrine dedicated to Saint Joseph, you will be able to partake of some of the rich musical and cultural tradition of the city.

Day 4 : Montreal - New York City

In the morning, we continue our tour of the romantic city of Montreal. If time permits, we may pass by the Notre-Dame Basilica. On our way back to New York City, we will stop at Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York to see the Ausable Chasm, a sandstone gorge formed nearly 500 million years ago during the Cambrian age when the rushing water of the powerful Ausable River began cutting its way into the "Potsdam" sandstone strata. We should arrive in New York City around 7:00 pm.

**Note: During summer months, Corning Museum of Glass maybe substitute with Watkins Glen State Park on Day 1.

**Note: The “Maid of the Mist” is only available from April to Oct. During winter months (Nov. - April), we will go to the Old Fort Niagara and Power vista, which is located at the mouth of the Niagara River. Be sure to catch the short guided tour that takes you explore the historic Old Fort Niagara. From there you can see from distance the skyline of Toronto, the biggest city of Canada, and the tallest building in Canada, CN Tower as well.

**Note: The Thousand Islands Scenic Boat Ride is only available from April to Oct. During winter months (Nov. - April), additional sightseeing opportunities will be substituted.

**Note: The Lake Ontario Cruise is only available from April to Oct. During winter months (Nov. - April), we will visit Casa Loma. This century-old Gothic-style house in Toronto was originally the home of financier Sir Henry Mill Pellatt. Today, it serves as a museum that showcases the history of life in Toronto and what life was like in the early 1900s.

Departure and Return info.:

  1. Brooklyn and Parsippany boarding location is ONLY for pickup service in the morning. Return location is Bowery St., Manhattan New York.
  2. East Brunswick boarding location pickup is ONLY available from 4/1 to 10/31. And return location is Bowery St., Manhattan New York.
  3. Edison Location is ONLY available from 5/21 - 5/24, and 6/27 - 9/6.

Price for Single Occupancy applies when one person stays in one standard hotel room.

Price for Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy applies when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. Thus, result in a lower per person price.

Maximum 4 guests in each hotel room (incl. kid and infant). Each standard hotel room comes with TWO full sizes or ONE queen size bed. Triple/Quadruple price does not guarantee a third/fourth bed in the room since each room is equipped with 2 beds. Roll-a-ways beds are regulations of each hotel; you are responsible for paying the additional cost for roll-a-way bed. Please check the availability at the time of check-in.

Late Cancellation or NO show of the Free-Fare passenger will result in $128 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat. The other participating passenger in the reservation is responsible for paying the penalty fee to the tour escort prior departure.

Trip Reservation Process:

All tours are open for early booking. It is recommended that customers should book tour at least two weeks before departure date. Bus seats will be pre-assigned after payment is made based on a first come first served basis. The following flowchart summarized the booking process.

  1. After you submitting your reservation online, you will receive a Pre-Order email within a couple of hours.
  2. Within 2 business days, we will send you a confirmation email to confirm your reservation of the trip. In this email, you could find the detailed boarding time and location of the trip, contact information of local service provider. Please print out this email with E-TICKET number as the boarding pass for the trip. Also, you can login to our website http://www.tripedition.com/index.php?route=account/login to check the status of your order.
  3. At the departure date, simply print out the E-TICKET if you have not already done so, and present it with your valid photo ID. Please note that this E-TICKET is the only proof of your purchase of the tour.
  4. Please make sure you have received our Final Confirmation Letter email with your E-ticket number before booking air tickets, extended hotel stays and etc., if applicable.

 

 

Your reservation is always subject to confirmation by email normally within two business days. Promotional offers such as BUY 2 GET 1 FREE and BUY 2 GET 2 FREE are provided and confirmed only on an availability basis. In the rare events (such as booking ONE day prior to the departure day), your reservation can not be confirmed by the service provider, a full refund will be credited back to your account.

The order of day-to-day itinerary is adjustable depending on tour start date of the week. For the detailed arrangement, please email or call the local service provider prior to departure date to re-confirm. Their contact info will be listed in your final confirmation email.

We reserve the right to change the hotel to another of equal or better standard than the hotel mentioned in the itineraries.

Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours may be combined to ensure fewer passengers operation.

We do not recommend infants younger than 2 years of age to join the tours, since our tour guides are not specially trained to provide service to these types of passengers and cannot be responsible for their well being.

 

 


Boarding Tips and Travel Documents:

All passengers should arrive at the boarding location at LEAST 15 min. prior to the departure time.

All passengers must show E-TICKET (the boarding pass) for boarding.

Passengers are held solely responsible for their own valid travel documents. (Valid visa for countries needed). Absolutely NO boarding without proper travel documents. All US citizens traveling to Canada will need a passport. Permanent resident requires present of green card. Additional visa requirements and exemptions for visitors to Canada please visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp.

 

 

  1. Canadian visa is not required for U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident. However, please bring your Photo I.D and proof of citizenship (U.S. birth certificate or naturalization certificate), or green card for re-entry to the United States. A passport for US citizens is highly recommended. Children, ages 18 and under only require a birth certificate.
  2. If you are NOT an American citizen, please bring your passport, I-94 card, I-20 form for international student. Due to increased security at the border, additional paperwork is required for visitors from some countries. This only applies to a very few countries. Please check with the local immigration office to ensure whether your status allows multiple-entry into the U.S. This will avoid unnecessary delays. Should any person be detained upon re-entry to the U.S., we will be unable to wait while the additional paperwork is filed. Additional charges may apply for transportation.
  3. Countries and territories whose citizens require visas in order to enter Canada as visitors, please check the following link for updates on entry requirements: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp. Some nationalities may need multiple entry visa's to the U.S.A. and a Canadian visa.

We are not responsible for any occur on or during the tour. It is optional that passengers to purchase travel insurance. By accepting our policy, passenger should agree that we shall hold no responsibilities includes but not limited to the following unforeseeable events such as weather, accident, bus break down, sickness, theft, itinerary changes, delays or cancellation. We are strongly advising you to purchase travel insurance before departure to insure compensations for the unexpected causes above. Such travel insurance can be purchased through third party insurance suppliers.

 

 


Language:

All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour guides and/or drivers guide. For driver guide tour, the language will be limited to English/Chinese.

Frequently Asked Questions


Will the bus wait for me if I’m late?

Sorry. Tour buses will depart on time. Please be understandable this is a group tour, we have to satisfy the entire group for a smooth operation of the tour. We recommend you arrive at the departure location 15-30 minutes prior the depart time.


Is the drop-off location the same as boarding location for all Tripedition tours?

The tours usually pick-up and drop-off at the same locations unless otherwise stated in the tour Departure and Return Info page.


What happens if I forgot to bring proper travel documents on the boarding day (Passport, Green card, Visa, etc.)?

You can NOT board the bus. The tour guide shall check anyone's proper travel documents prior boarding. Bear in mind, when you can NOT board for this reason, this also triggers the reschedule fee or cancellation penalty. Please refer to the Special Notes section of your booked tour for proper travel documents.


How many pieces of baggage am I allowed to bring?

We recommend two pieces of standard sized baggage per passenger due to the load limitation of the motorcoach. If the tour is operated by 14 seats minibus, only ONE piece per passenger is allowed.


Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, only for motorcoach buses. However, we recommend the use of lavatory when there is a personal emergency. All our local service providers, try to maintain a clean environment on the bus, therefore, the bus will make rest stops along the way (every 2-3 hours) at highway service area. If you need to use the lavatory on the way, you may ask the tour guide to open it for your use.


What can we do if we choose not to go on the optional activities?

Optional activities are booked through the tour guide while you are on the tour. If you do not wish to participate in certain tour activities, you can hang around the tourist attraction as you like to. The tour guide will inform guests on the return time to the tour bus before he/she dismisses the group.


We are vegetarians, should I join the tour?

Definitely Yes. Meal breaks will be arranged at hotels, various ethnic restaurants, food courts, and fast food restaurants. There should be vegetarian food for you to choose from the menus.
