Itinerary

Day 1 : New York City - Corning Glass Museum - Niagara Falls

Our bus tour begins with a drive from New York City to Corning, New York to visit the Corning Museum of Glass. With a massive collection of objects detailing over 3,500 years of glassmaking history, there is something for everyone. Whether it’s the latest in innovative glass technology or trying your hand at making glass, you’ll never be able to look at glass the same way again. Afterwards we depart for the American side of Niagara Falls in the Niagara Falls State Park. Niagara Falls is the cumulative name for the group of falls including Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls. In the evening, we will join the Native Indian show, The Spirit of the Mist. The show presented by the World Class Native Spirit Dancers. Come together as they take you on a journey of beautiful dance, traditional music and stories passed through the generations. Experience a full sensory show through exciting music, captivating dancing, exceptional costumes and genuine native singing. The show captures audiences of all ages! If time permits, we will head to enjoy the colorful and wonderful Niagara Falls Illumination on the Goat Island.

Day 2 : Niagara Falls - Toronto

On day 2 we continue our bus tour of Niagara falls with the Hornblower Niagara Cruise - a once in a lifetime ride that takes you close to the falls as they come thundering down. You’ll also have a chance to take in the scenery from the Skylon tower that overlooks all the falls in the area. Want to go over the falls in a barrel? You’ll have the chance to experience daredevilry and excitement in the IMAX Theater’s presentation of “The Falls Movie: Legends of Adventure.” The 6 story screen and 12,000 watts of digital surround sound will sweep you away in a presentation on one of the beauties of the world. Next our tour will take you to Toronto, Canada - one of the largest cities in Canada. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city from the CN tower, the tallest building in Canada at a monstrous 1815 feet. Following by the Ripley’s Aquarium, currently one of the most popular attractions in Canada that features several aquatic exhibits including a walk-through tank. While passing through downtown Toronto, we will be able to see the Toronto City Hall, the landmark of the city. Tour will then visit Toronto Chinatown for unique experience of local cultures.

Day 3 : Toronto - 1000 Islands - Ottawa - Montreal

On the third day of our bus tour we leave for the Thousand Islands. This archipelago of more than 1800 islands along the Canada United States border is some of the most scenic areas along the Saint Lawrence River. Here we will tour the islands on the Thousand Island Boat cruise where you will be able to take in the luxurious castles like Boldt Castle on Heart Island. Afterwards it’s back on the bus and onto Ottawa, the capital of Canada. We will have a short tour of the Parliament Building, seat of Canadian legislature, the Centennial Flame, the Peace Tower, Rideau Canal, and then onto the Monument and Embassy District. From there we next travel to Montreal, the second largest city in Canada and home to one of the largest populations of French speakers outside of France. Consistently rated one of the world’s most livable cities, our tour takes you through Old Montreal - a part of the city that dates back to the days of New France in 1605. Next we visit the Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal a basilica and national shrine. As the largest shrine dedicated to Saint Joseph, you will be able to partake of some of the rich musical and cultural tradition of the city.

Day 4 : Montreal - Quebec - Boston

The next leg of our journey takes us to Quebec City where you will be able to enjoy the charm of the city from the Chateau Frontenac. Built in the beautiful chateau style, the building overlooks the St. Lawrence River. We will also visit the Old Port of Quebec which in the 19th century was one of the most important ports in the world, playing a major part in the development of Canada. La Citadelle is our next stop atop the Plains of Abraham. Once part of the fortifications of the city, the historic site is now designated as a World Heritage Site. From here we will then spend the rest of the day travelling to back to Boston vicinity.

Day 5 : Boston - New York City

The last day of our tour has us exploring the city of Boston and many of its prominent sites. We will visit the campuses of Harvard and MIT, two of the world’s most prestigious schools. You’ll marvel at the history of Harvard, which celebrated its 375th anniversary in 2011. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology leads the way in cutting edge research in the 21st century. Join us as we follow the Freedom Trail, a red brick trail that cuts through the city and leads to 16 historic sites from the Boston Common and the Old State House, to all the way to Bunker Hill site of a revolutionary battle. We will visit Faneuil Hall Marketplace, an active hub known for its energy from shop, vendors and street performers waiting to entertain you. Drive back to New York City in the afternoon.

**Note: The Thousand Islands Scenic Boat Ride is seasonal and is only available from April to October. For winter season, this activity will be substituted with additional sightseeing opportunities.

Price for Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy applies when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. Thus, result in a lower per person price.

Maximum 4 guests in each hotel room (incl. kid and infant). Each standard hotel room comes with TWO full sizes or ONE queen size bed. Triple/Quadruple price does not guarantee a third/fourth bed in the room since each room is equipped with 2 beds. Roll-a-ways beds are regulations of each hotel; you are responsible for paying the additional cost for roll-a-way bed. Please check the availability at the time of check-in.

Trip Reservation Process:

All tours are open for early booking. It is recommended that customers should book tour at least two weeks before departure date. Bus seats will be pre-assigned after payment is made based on a first come first served basis. The following flowchart summarized the booking process.

  1. After you submitting your reservation online, you will receive a Pre-Order email within a couple of hours.
  2. Within 2 business days, we will send you a confirmation email to confirm your reservation of the trip. In this email, you could find the detailed boarding time and location of the trip, contact information of local service provider. Please print out this email with E-TICKET number as the boarding pass for the trip. Also, you can login to our website http://www.tripedition.com/index.php?route=account/login to check the status of your order.
  3. At the departure date, simply print out the E-TICKET if you have not already done so, and present it with your valid photo ID. Please note that this E-TICKET is the only proof of your purchase of the tour.
  4. Please make sure you have received our Final Confirmation Letter email with your E-ticket number before booking air tickets, extended hotel stays and etc., if applicable.

 

 

Your reservation is always subject to confirmation by email normally within two business days. Promotional offers such as BUY 2 GET 1 FREE and BUY 2 GET 2 FREE are provided and confirmed only on an availability basis. In the rare events (such as booking ONE day prior to the departure day), your reservation can not be confirmed by the service provider, a full refund will be credited back to your account.

The order of day-to-day itinerary is adjustable depending on tour start date of the week. For the detailed arrangement, please email or call the local service provider prior to departure date to re-confirm. Their contact info will be listed in your final confirmation email.

We reserve the right to change the hotel to another of equal or better standard than the hotel mentioned in the itineraries.

Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours may be combined to ensure fewer passengers operation.

We do not recommend infants younger than 2 years of age to join the tours, since our tour guides are not specially trained to provide service to these types of passengers and cannot be responsible for their well being.

 

 


Boarding Tips and Travel Documents:

All passengers should arrive at the boarding location at LEAST 15 min. prior to the departure time.

All passengers must show E-TICKET (the boarding pass) for boarding.

Passengers are held solely responsible for their own valid travel documents. (Valid visa for countries needed). Absolutely NO boarding without proper travel documents. All US citizens traveling to Canada will need a passport. Permanent resident requires present of green card. Additional visa requirements and exemptions for visitors to Canada please visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp.

 

 

  1. Canadian visa is not required for U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident. However, please bring your Photo I.D and proof of citizenship (U.S. birth certificate or naturalization certificate), or green card for re-entry to the United States. A passport for US citizens is highly recommended. Children, ages 18 and under only require a birth certificate.
  2. If you are NOT an American citizen, please bring your passport, I-94 card, I-20 form for international student. Due to increased security at the border, additional paperwork is required for visitors from some countries. This only applies to a very few countries. Please check with the local immigration office to ensure whether your status allows multiple-entry into the U.S. This will avoid unnecessary delays. Should any person be detained upon re-entry to the U.S., we will be unable to wait while the additional paperwork is filed. Additional charges may apply for transportation.
  3. Countries and territories whose citizens require visas in order to enter Canada as visitors, please check the following link for updates on entry requirements: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp. Some nationalities may need multiple entry visa's to the U.S.A. and a Canadian visa.

By accepting our policy, passenger should agree that we shall hold no responsibilities includes but not limited to the following unforeseeable events such as weather, accident, bus break down, sickness, theft, itinerary changes, delays or cancellation. We are strongly advising you to purchase travel insurance before departure to insure compensations for the unexpected causes above. Language:

All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour guides and/or drivers guide. For driver guide tour, the language will be limited to English/Chinese.

Frequently Asked Questions


Will the bus wait for me if I’m late?

Sorry. Tour buses will depart on time. Please be understandable this is a group tour, we have to satisfy the entire group for a smooth operation of the tour. We recommend you arrive at the departure location 15-30 minutes prior the depart time.


Is the drop-off location the same as boarding location for all Tripedition tours?

The tours usually pick-up and drop-off at the same locations unless otherwise stated in the tour Departure and Return Info page.


What happens if I forgot to bring proper travel documents on the boarding day (Passport, Green card, Visa, etc.)?

You can NOT board the bus. The tour guide shall check anyone's proper travel documents prior boarding. Bear in mind, when you can NOT board for this reason, this also triggers the reschedule fee or cancellation penalty. Please refer to the Special Notes section of your booked tour for proper travel documents.


How many pieces of baggage am I allowed to bring?

We recommend two pieces of standard sized baggage per passenger due to the load limitation of the motorcoach. If the tour is operated by 14 seats minibus, only ONE piece per passenger is allowed.


Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, only for motorcoach buses. However, we recommend the use of lavatory when there is a personal emergency. All our local service providers, try to maintain a clean environment on the bus, therefore, the bus will make rest stops along the way (every 2-3 hours) at highway service area. If you need to use the lavatory on the way, you may ask the tour guide to open it for your use.


What can we do if we choose not to go on the optional activities?

Optional activities are booked through the tour guide while you are on the tour. If you do not wish to participate in certain tour activities, you can hang around the tourist attraction as you like to. The tour guide will inform guests on the return time to the tour bus before he/she dismisses the group.


We are vegetarians, should I join the tour?

Definitely Yes. Meal breaks will be arranged at hotels, various ethnic restaurants, food courts, and fast food restaurants. There should be vegetarian food for you to choose from the menus.
