Day 1 : Washington D.C. (2016-12-26, Monday)

Washington, D.C., is surely one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world. We will first visit the Lincoln Memorial. This grand monument overlooks the Reflecting Pool, the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol. Inside, the 19-foot marble statue of the 16th president is flanked by inscriptions of his Second Inaugural Address and the famous Gettysburg Address. We will also stop by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. Later we can take photos with backdrops of the White House and U.S. Capitol respectively due to the visit limitation for the public. In addition, you surely don’t want to miss the opportunity to take our exclusive cruise for sightseeing of the town on the Potomac River! Along the way, guests will have chance to see the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and so on.

Day 2 : D.C. - Corning Glass Center - Niagara Falls (2016-12-27, Tuesday)

We will arrive at one of the 500 fortune corporation headquarter - Corning Museum of Glass around the noon. Corning Museum of Glass maintains the most comprehensive collections of historic and art glass in the world with 35,000 glass pieces representing 35 centuries of glass craftsmanship. We are inviting guests to enjoy the Hot Glass Show that will perform by professional glass technicians. Also, will have chance to know how the ancient Egyptian made the world first glass mask 3,000 years ago! In the afternoon, we will arrive at the world renowned Niagara Falls. Here, guests can overlook the deafening roar of the American Falls, the Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls! If time allows, guests will have chance to take the impressive and exciting Niagara Jet Boat - an exclusive ride on the Niagara River which makes the tour unforgettable and refreshing by playing in the whitewater rapids. Get soaked with the mist when you are strolling in the State Park. Absolutely, you will like the "Niagara: Legends of Adventure", a dramatic 45-minute IMAX film on the new screen, to discover the history and culture of the Niagara Falls. Afterwards, you will have a chance to take Niagara Falls In-depth Tour. This interesting and exciting tour includes two popular attractions: the magnificent natural wonder - Niagara Whirlpool State Park and the U.S. historic landmark - Old Fort Niagara. The Niagara Whirlpool’s greatest depth is 125 feet. It has estimated the whirlpool formed approximately 4,200 years ago by the upstream erosion of the Niagara escarpment by Niagara River. Old Fort Niagara is a rich historic landmark; it spans more than 300 years. Its commanding presence on the great lake caused it to play a critical role in the French and Indian War, the American Revolution and the War of 1812. The gorgeous Lake Ontario lies behind the Fort. Day 3 : Niagara Falls - Boston (2016-12-28, Wednesday)

We will cross the upstate New York and heading to Boston, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Erie Canal and mountains on our comfortable tour bus. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the city of Cambridge, MA and visit the Harvard University. Here, you will find Harvard’s oldest campus and take pictures with the statue of John Harvard, known as the “Statue of Three Lies”. In addition, we have a chance to take pictures with the backdrop of MIT’s main buildings. For the rest of our Boston city tour, we will pass by old Trinity Cathedral, Hancock Building, Boston Athenaeum, Boston Park, Swan Lake Park, and overlook the Golden Dome of the State House. At a first glance, travelling around the entire of New York City seems like the mission impossible; however, our highly organized tour is an especially designed for you: by visiting amounts of famous landmarks, you will learn more about the city’s unique history, culture, and the core spirit of the New Yorkers! By stepping up to the Empire State Building observation deck, guests could overlook the beautiful view of the central park and the entire of New York City. Empire State Building stood as the world's tallest building for nearly 40 years, and has surpassed in late 1970. Its name has derived from the nickname of New York, the Empire State. Nowadays it is still the most famed landmark of the city. In addition, Guests will take a sightseeing cruise tour on the Hudson River to enjoy the city view from a completely different angle, as well as take pictures with the backdrops of Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. Day 6 : New York City and New Year's Eve Countdown (2016-12-31, Saturday)

In the morning, guests will see Columbia University, Lincoln Performing Arts Center, Fifth Avenue Christmas animation window exhibitions and so on. After enjoy a leisurely lunch, we are heading to the Times Square countdown area, and celebrating New Year with thousands of visitors. Meanwhile guests can watch performances before the countdown. At the same time, roads of countdown zone will close for pedestrian only; you can freely enjoy the bright lights of Times Square and experience the world-famous New Year street celebrations to witness the historic moment.

Day 7 : New York City Tour - Washington D.C. (2017-01-01, Sunday)

Happy New Year! With hundreds of pictures stored in your digital camera and wonderful memories in your mind, this should be the perfect ending of your multi-day bus tour with Tripedition.

Depends on your flight departure time, you have the following choices:

1) If the departure time of your return flights is before 2:00 pm, please arrange your own transportation to the airport or consult your tour guide for our airport transfer services with a nominal charge.
2) If the departure time of your return flights is between 2:00 - 7:00 pm, we do provide complimentary shuttle buses to the three major airports.
3) If the departure time of your return flights is after 7:00 pm, you may join us with couple activities.

Jersey Gardens Outlet Shopping:
Go shopping at the Jersey Garden Outlet. The merchandises will be on sale for 20% to 70% savings with assorted designer and named brands. A complimentary shuttle buses to the major airports will be provided in the late afternoon.

Drive-a-helicopter Experience:
Experience to fly a plane at their own expense. (Participants must be at least 14 years old. Ages 14-18 need to be companied by an adult guardian.) Each participant will have approximately 60 minutes flight experience including 15 minutes pre-flying examination & instruction on the ground, 45 minutes driving a private aircraft. Participants are flying with FAA authorized flight instructor on the aircraft; 3 people can experience driving the same aircraft, switching seats after stopping at airport. Participants do not need pilot’s license and prior flying experience, and will be authorized a “First Flight” certificate.

Shooting Experience:
Experience shooting at own expense. (Participants must be at least 12 years old. Ages 12-18 need to be companied by an adult guardian.) Experience time is around 60 minutes, including 15 minutes principle explanation and shooting instruction. Each participant will have an opportunity to experience a 9mm caliber pistol and rifle, three shooting range targets, a box of 9mm ammunition (50 rounds). Each participant will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a set of protective gear.

Price for Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy applies when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. Thus, result in a lower per person price.

Maximum 4 guests in each hotel room (incl. kid and infant). Each standard hotel room comes with TWO full sizes or ONE queen size bed. Triple/Quadruple price does not guarantee a third/fourth bed in the room since each room is equipped with 2 beds. Roll-a-ways beds are regulations of each hotel; you are responsible for paying the additional cost for roll-a-way bed. Please check the availability at the time of check-in.

Trip Reservation Process:

All tours are open for early booking. It is recommended that customers should book tour at least two weeks before departure date. Bus seats will be pre-assigned after payment is made based on a first come first served basis. The following flowchart summarized the booking process.

  1. After you submitting your reservation online, you will receive a Pre-Order email within a couple of hours.
  2. Within 2 business days, we will send you a confirmation email to confirm your reservation of the trip. In this email, you could find the detailed boarding time and location of the trip, contact information of local service provider. Please print out this email with E-TICKET number as the boarding pass for the trip. Also, you can login to our website http://www.tripedition.com/index.php?route=account/login to check the status of your order.
  3. At the departure date, simply print out the E-TICKET if you have not already done so, and present it with your valid photo ID. Please note that this E-TICKET is the only proof of your purchase of the tour.
  4. Please make sure you have received our Final Confirmation Letter email with your E-ticket number before booking air tickets, extended hotel stays and etc., if applicable.

 

 

Your reservation is always subject to confirmation by email normally within two business days. Promotional offers such as BUY 2 GET 1 FREE and BUY 2 GET 2 FREE are provided and confirmed only on an availability basis. In the rare events (such as booking ONE day prior to the departure day), your reservation can not be confirmed by the service provider, a full refund will be credited back to your account.

We reserve the right to change the hotel to another of equal or better standard than the hotel mentioned in the itineraries.

Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours may be combined to ensure fewer passengers operation.

We do not recommend infants younger than 2 years of age to join the tours, since our tour guides are not specially trained to provide service to these types of passengers and cannot be responsible for their well being.

 

 


Boarding Tips and Travel Documents:

All passengers should arrive at the boarding location at LEAST 15 min. prior to the departure time.

All passengers must show E-TICKET (the boarding pass) for boarding.

Passengers are held solely responsible for their own valid travel documents.

 

 


Travel Insurance:

We are not responsible for any occur on or during the tour. It is optional that passengers to purchase travel insurance. By accepting our policy, passenger should agree that we shall hold no responsibilities includes but not limited to the following unforeseeable events such as weather, accident, bus break down, sickness, theft, itinerary changes, delays or cancellation. We are strongly advising you to purchase travel insurance before departure to insure compensations for the unexpected causes above. Such travel insurance can be purchased through third party insurance suppliers.

All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour guides and/or drivers guide. For driver guided tour, the language will be limited to English/Chinese.

Will the bus wait for me if I’m late?

Sorry. Tour buses will depart on time. Please be understandable this is a group tour, we have to satisfy the entire group for a smooth operation of the tour. We recommend you arrive at the departure location 15-30 minutes prior the depart time.


Is the drop-off location the same as boarding location for all Tripedition tours?

The tours usually pick-up and drop-off at the same locations unless otherwise stated in the tour Departure and Return Info page.


What happens if I forgot to bring proper travel documents on the boarding day (Passport, Green card, Visa, etc.)?

You can NOT board the bus. The tour guide shall check anyone's proper travel documents prior boarding. Bear in mind, when you can NOT board for this reason, this also triggers the reschedule fee or cancellation penalty. Please refer to the Special Notes section of your booked tour for proper travel documents.


How many pieces of baggage am I allowed to bring?

We recommend two pieces of standard sized baggage per passenger due to the load limitation of the motorcoach. If the tour is operated by 14 seats minibus, only ONE piece per passenger is allowed.


Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, only for motorcoach buses. However, we recommend the use of lavatory when there is a personal emergency. All our local service providers, try to maintain a clean environment on the bus, therefore, the bus will make rest stops along the way (every 2-3 hours) at highway service area. If you need to use the lavatory on the way, you may ask the tour guide to open it for your use.


What can we do if we choose not to go on the optional activities?

Optional activities are booked through the tour guide while you are on the tour. If you do not wish to participate in certain tour activities, you can hang around the tourist attraction as you like to. The tour guide will inform guests on the return time to the tour bus before he/she dismisses the group.


We are vegetarians, should I join the tour?

Definitely Yes. Meal breaks will be arranged at hotels, various ethnic restaurants, food courts, and fast food restaurants. There should be vegetarian food for you to choose from the menus.
