Itinerary

Day 1 : New York City Tour

You have one day to see the Big Apple, New York City, but where do you go? Fortunately for you our one day tour of New York will be an experience you won’t forget. We begin our bus tour at the Wall Street - heart of the financial district of New York. Wall Street is synonymous with money and is home to the New York Stock Exchange.

From there we will visit Empire State Building. The famous Empire State building towers over the city at an astonishing 102 stories and was the world’s tallest building for 40 years. Also we will pass by some of the most famous buildings in New York - the United Nations Building, Freedom Tower and the Rockefeller Center. The UN building has served as the official headquarters of the United Nations since 1952. Ground Zero, memorial to commemorate 9/11 disaster is right next to the newly built skyscraper Freedom Tower. Named for John D. Rockefeller, the Rockefeller Center is a national historical landmark and home to Radio City Hall the 70 floor “30 Rock” building.

Of course, no visit to New York would be complete without a glimpse of its most iconic landmark, so our tour hops aboard the Statue of Liberty Cruise next for a chance to glimpse the cityscape from the water. From there we visit the USS Intrepid which houses the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum. Formerly a World War II aircraft carrier, the museum houses famous artifacts of maritime, air and space history including the Space Shuttle Enterprise.

Our tour then travels to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, where you can take pictures with all kinds of celebrities’ sculptures. Right next to the Wax Museum is the Times Square. This brilliantly lit hub is known as the “Crossroads of the World” and is a prominent part of the Broadway theater district. Join in the spectacle as our tour takes in the magic of one of the world’s most visited attraction.

Of course, we will not miss the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the United States with collections of more than 2 million works of art. Experience a New York City bus tour from Tripedition Today!

Day 2 : Philadelphia - Washington D.C.

On the second day of our New York City bus tour, you’ll get to visit some of the most influential sites in United States history. In Philadelphia you’ll get to visit Independence Hall, so named because it was here the Declaration of Independence was born. It was also at this site that George Washington became commander in chief of the continental army. At this site rests Liberty Bell, a symbol of freedom in America since the days of the revolution. Next up we trek to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. and some of its famous monuments. First we’ll take you to the Lincoln Memorial that houses a 20 foot seated statue of the 16th president and words from some of his famous speeches to the American people. Then you’ll get to go to the Jefferson Memorial—a tribute to the founding father and drafter of the Declaration of Independence. From here it’s on to the White House and the Capitol, the legislative and executive cores of the country. Following that, we’ll pay our respects to those that gave their lives for the cause of freedom at the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam War Memorial.

If time is available we will go to the Old Fort Niagara, located at the mouth of the Niagara River. Be sure to catch the short guided tour that explains a lot in a short time. The fact that the old French Castle from 1726 is still standing today is amazing. The history and importance of this fort is a compelling reason to preserve it and the artifacts in the museum were spectacular. If you're a history buff or just like tours of this kind you have to see this. In the evening, we will join the Native Indian show, The Spirit of the Mist. The show presented by the World Class Native Spirit Dancers. Come together as they take you on a journey of beautiful dance, traditional music and stories passed through the generations. We will also see the Ontario’s Provincial Parliament which completed in a Romanesque style in 1893 and then the modernist styled City Hall which consists of two arc-shaped high-rise blocks, 20 and 27 stories high respectively, whose stunning structure makes it another popular landmark.
