These landmarks are an important part of Seattle’s identity and help make it a beautiful coastal town. After a passing by Washington University, we will then drive north to Vancouver.

Day 2 : Vancouver - Butchart Gardens - Victoria - Vancouver

As we board the British Columbia Ferry to Vancouver Island, be sure to pay attention to the beautiful mountains and hills of the Gulf Islands as we sail by. Our first stop in Victoria is the world renowned Butchart Gardens. Routinely ranked as one of the best gardens to visit in the world by CNN, National Geographic and USA Today, the gardens offer unparalleled glimpses into nature. Depending on the time of year, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the rich foliage of the gardens. From the gardens we take you to Beacon Hill Park and Mile Zero—the starting point of the Highway 1 or the Trans-Canada Highway. Driving from this point towards the east will take any traveler all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. After a brief tour of the Parliament Buildings, we will then travel back to Vancouver in the evening.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel or similar

Day 3 : Vancouver City Tour - Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge - Whistler - Vancouver

Back in Vancouver, we spend the day to explore the city of glass—so called for the beautiful buildings that seem to mirror, earth, mountain, and ocean wherever you go. Starting in Gastown, we tour some of the European influenced buildings and the steam clock. One of the last functioning steam clocks in the world, this clock alerts townsfolk to the time for more than 40 years. After visiting Queen Elizabeth Park, Chinatown and the Harbour Water Airport, we take you through the largest urban park in the world—Stanley Park. Situated on an island just outside of Downtown Vancouver, this rain forest features thousands of trees and a thousand different adventures waiting for you to explore. In the afternoon we travel to the North Shore of Vancouver, to Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. Loved by locals and tourists alike, the suspension bridge spans the length of the canyon and sways with each step—an exciting experience for all. Following that, we travel next to Whistler, the site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel or similar

Day 4 : Vancouver - Hope - Kamloops - Glacier National Park - Golden

From Vancouver we make our way to the Rockies travelling by way of the town of Hope and Kamloops. Kamloops has a growing tourist presence thanks in part to its reputation as an outdoor playground of diverse landscapes and both winter and summer outdoor sports. After stopping in these towns, we travel to the Last Spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway. As the site of where the last spike was driven into the railway, completing a span of railroad uniting the country, this place is a national symbol of unity. Continuing on east, we pass through the Three Valley Lake Recreation area and the infamously steep Roger’s Pass—a gateway of the CPR and the trans-Canada highway. We spend the night in Golden, BC.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Ponderosa Inn Golden or similar

Day 5 : Natural Bridge - Moraine Lake - Lake Louise - Bow Falls

Starting the day at the Natural Bridge of Yoho National Park, we take in some of the most famous sites of the Canadian Rockies today. We first travel up to Lake Moraine. This lake’s stunning blue, green waters have often been used as stock images of natural beauty. This lake has even featured prominently on the back of the Canadian 20 dollar bill. After, we travel onto Lake Louise in Banff, the most iconic vista of the region. You will enjoy stunning views of the lake from lofty overlooks before come down to the thundering cascades of Bow Falls of Banff. Overnight at Canmore.

We traverse the ice fields by way of snow coach, affording you a unique and intimate view of the million year-old remnants of the last great ice age, before climbing the Glacier Skywalk. This recently constructed glass walkway juts out 35 feet from a sheer cliff face and more than 900 feet above the valley floor. You’ll never forget this experience of seeing birds fly hundreds of feet blow you and seeing the mountains of the valley loom high above your head. In the afternoon we return west, we travel to Mount Robson—the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, before arrive at Sun Peaks. While in the winter the resort is famous for its powder snow, in the summer these parks are a hive of mountain biking competitions and races.
