Day 1 : Hometown - New York City (2018-12-27, Thursday)

Thanks for choosing your vacation with us! You can choose any one of the major airports in New York City (JFK, LGA, EWR) when you book your flight. Our professional tour guide will meet you at the baggage claim area for the domestic flight; for international flight, please arrive at the Passenger Waiting Area for pick up. (Passengers, who arrive at Terminal 7of JFK Airport, please wait outside of the baggage claim area.)

1. Guests who arrive at JFK or LGA airport before 5:00pm will be sent to Flushing Queens. We will provide free luggage storage service, and our guests can visit nearby Queens Crossing, Macy’s Shopping Center. In addition, Flushing is a safe and booming Asian commercial and retail area with many shopping and dining options. You will experience the distinctive Asian-American culture.
2. For those who arrive at EWR airport, feel free to take our shuttle to Jersey Garden Outlet and we will take you back to the hotel as soon as the rooms are ready to check-in.

By stepping up to the Empire State Building Observation deck, guests could overlook the beautiful view of the central park and the entire of New York City. Empire State Building stood as the world's tallest building for nearly 40 years and has been surpassed in late 1970. Its name is derived from the nickname of New York, the Empire State. Nowadays it is still the most famed landmark of the city. Also, Guests will take a sightseeing cruise tour on the Hudson River to enjoy the city view from a totally different angle, as well as take pictures with the backdrops of Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. Furthermore, visit USS Intrepid, the national heritage that costs $120 million, which is reopen for visitors. Concorde supersonic airliner and a variety of aircrafts will be all in the exhibition. Day 3 : Princeton University - Philadelphia - Washington DC. (2018-12-29, Saturday)

In the morning, we will visit Princeton University, one of the prestigious Ivy League universities in United States. A guided campus tour will give our guests the opportunity to know more about American education culture. Then we will head to the National Independence Historical Park in Philadelphia. While walking on the cobblestone streets, it seems that you could still hear the rings by the Liberty Bell, which has witnessed the founding history of America. Independence Hall (exterior, reverse side of $100 bill), is the birthplace of American modern democracy, where the Declaration of the Independence and the Constitution was debated and adopted. Next, we will go to the One Liberty Observation Deck, standing on the top of Philly and enjoy the stunning view of the first capital of US. In the afternoon, we will head to Washington D.C., and visit the Madame Tussands in Washington D.C. which is the only attraction you can get close to the “44 presidents” of US. We will have the chance to explore the inner structure of The White House, taking photographs with Oval Office desk aka The Resolute Desk. The great names will be memorized and honored forever. Next, we will visit the White House (exterior, reverse side of $20 Bill). We will also visit the U.S. Department of Treasury (exterior, reverse side of $10 Bill), Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial and Vietnam War Memorial. Day 4 : Washington DC. - New York City (2018-12-30, Sunday)

Depart from the hotel in early morning, we will first visit the US Capitol (reverse side of $50 bill). The U.S. Capitol was established at 1793, it has become the symbol of American people and government (Only outside visiting while it’s not open to public, usually on public holidays and sundays). We will also visit the Library of Congress (exterior), which has served the United States congress for more than 200 years, and Supreme Court of the United States (exterior). After that, we will take the D.C. Cruise along Potomac River to see many of the areas’ most historic landmarks and memorials in a unique way. If time permit, we will also visit Newseum, a top 10 ranked popular attraction in Washington D.C. It’s known as one of the most interactive museum in the world that promotes free expression and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Newseum experience traces the evolution of electronic communication from the birth of radio, to the technologies of the present and the future. In addition, along the way, you will see the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and etc. After we depart from Washington D.C., we will pass by DCA and head back to New York.

Day 5 : New York City and New Year's Eve Countdown (2018-12-31, Monday)

In the morning, we will visit the Central Park of New York and the 5th Ave. You may enjoy Lady M or Luke’s Lobster for brunch. We will pass by Trump Tower, Apple Flagship store, and much more high-end brands on 5th Ave (There would be no space for storage shopping bags so please do not purchase any goods on that day). Next, we are heading to the Times Square countdown area, and celebrating New Year with thousands of visitors.

You will have 3 options for the countdown:
1. You may walk to Times Square and watch performances before the countdown. At the same time, the countdown zone will be closed for pedestrians only; you may experience the world-famous New Year street celebrations to witness the historic moment. (Free of charge)

Depends on your flight departure time, you have the following choices:
1. Flights before 2:00PM: Drop-off service to three major airports (LGA, JFK or EWR, EWR is highly recommended.) will be charged at $120/Ride for Maximum 4 passengers.
2. Flights after 2:00PM: Free airport drop-off service to three major airports (LGA, JFK or EWR, EWR is highly recommended). Passengers of flights before 7:00PM will NOT go shopping.
3. Flights after 7:00PM, tourists can choose to shop at the Jersey Garden Outlet. The merchandises will be on sale for 20% to 70% savings with assorted designer and named brands.

Price for Double/Triple/Quadruple Occupancy applies when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. Thus, result in a lower per person price.

Maximum 4 guests in each hotel room (incl. kid and infant). Each standard hotel room comes with TWO full sizes or ONE queen size bed. Triple/Quadruple price does not guarantee a third/fourth bed in the room since each room is equipped with 2 beds. Roll-a-ways beds are regulations of each hotel; you are responsible for paying the additional cost for roll-a-way bed. Please check the availability at the time of check-in.

Trip Reservation Process:

All tours are open for early booking. It is recommended that customers should book tour at least two weeks before departure date. Bus seats will be pre-assigned after payment is made based on a first come first served basis. The following flowchart summarized the booking process.

  1. After you submitting your reservation online, you will receive a Pre-Order email within a couple of hours.
  2. Within 2 business days, we will send you a confirmation email to confirm your reservation of the trip. In this email, you could find the detailed boarding time and location of the trip, contact information of local service provider. Please print out this email with E-TICKET number as the boarding pass for the trip. Also, you can login to our website http://www.tripedition.com/index.php?route=account/login to check the status of your order.
  3. At the departure date, simply print out the E-TICKET if you have not already done so, and present it with your valid photo ID. Please note that this E-TICKET is the only proof of your purchase of the tour.
  4. Please make sure you have received our Final Confirmation Letter email with your E-ticket number before booking air tickets, extended hotel stays and etc., if applicable.

 

 

Your reservation is always subject to confirmation by email normally within two business days. Promotional offers such as BUY 2 GET 1 FREE and BUY 2 GET 2 FREE are provided and confirmed only on an availability basis. In the rare events (such as booking ONE day prior to the departure day), your reservation can not be confirmed by the service provider, a full refund will be credited back to your account.

The order of day-to-day itinerary is adjustable depending on tour start date of the week. For the detailed arrangement, please email or call the local service provider prior to departure date to re-confirm. Their contact info will be listed in your final confirmation email.

We reserve the right to change the hotel to another of equal or better standard than the hotel mentioned in the itineraries.

Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours may be combined to ensure fewer passengers operation.

We do not recommend infants younger than 2 years of age to join the tours, since our tour guides are not specially trained to provide service to these types of passengers and cannot be responsible for their well being.

 

 


Boarding Tips and Travel Documents:

If your flight is delayed or cancelled, please call the tour guide or our customer service at 1-888-503-6377 ASAP to reschedule the pickup. Please note, if your arrives after the free pickup time due to delayed flight, there will be a fee charged for the picking up.

All passengers must show E-TICKET (the boarding pass) for boarding.

Passengers are held solely responsible for their own valid travel documents.

 

 


Travel Insurance:

We are not responsible for any occur on or during the tour. It is optional that passengers to purchase travel insurance. By accepting our policy, passenger should agree that we shall hold no responsibilities includes but not limited to the following unforeseeable events such as weather, accident, bus break down, sickness, theft, itinerary changes, delays or cancellation. We are strongly advising you to purchase travel insurance before departure to insure compensations for the unexpected causes above. Such travel insurance can be purchased through third party insurance suppliers.

All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour guides and/or drivers guide. For driver guided tour, the language will be limited to English/Chinese.

Frequently Asked Questions


Will the bus wait for me if I’m late?

Sorry. Tour buses will depart on time. Please be understandable this is a group tour, we have to satisfy the entire group for a smooth operation of the tour. We recommend you arrive at the departure location 15-30 minutes prior the depart time.


Is the drop-off location the same as boarding location for all Tripedition tours?

The tours usually pick-up and drop-off at the same locations unless otherwise stated in the tour Departure and Return Info page.


What happens if I forgot to bring proper travel documents on the boarding day (Passport, Green card, Visa, etc.)?

You can NOT board the bus. The tour guide shall check anyone's proper travel documents prior boarding. Bear in mind, when you can NOT board for this reason, this also triggers the reschedule fee or cancellation penalty. Please refer to the Special Notes section of your booked tour for proper travel documents.


How many pieces of baggage am I allowed to bring?

We recommend two pieces of standard sized baggage per passenger due to the load limitation of the motorcoach. If the tour is operated by 14 seats minibus, only ONE piece per passenger is allowed.


Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, only for motorcoach buses. However, we recommend the use of lavatory when there is a personal emergency. All our local service providers, try to maintain a clean environment on the bus, therefore, the bus will make rest stops along the way (every 2-3 hours) at highway service area. If you need to use the lavatory on the way, you may ask the tour guide to open it for your use.


What can we do if we choose not to go on the optional activities?

Optional activities are booked through the tour guide while you are on the tour. If you do not wish to participate in certain tour activities, you can hang around the tourist attraction as you like to. The tour guide will inform guests on the return time to the tour bus before he/she dismisses the group.


We are vegetarians, should I join the tour?

Definitely Yes. Meal breaks will be arranged at hotels, various ethnic restaurants, food courts, and fast food restaurants. There should be vegetarian food for you to choose from the menus.
