On this day of your trip we will be travelling from Vancouver to Victoria on Vancouver Island. As we board the British Columbia Ferry, be sure to watch the majestic islands of the gulf islands roll by the ship. When we arrive in Victoria, we will be going to Butchart Gardens, consistently ranked as one of the world’s most beautiful gardens by USA Today, CNN, and National Geographic. While at the gardens you’ll be able to take in the views of the Sunken Gardens, enjoy the Children’s Pavilion with its Rose Carousel—a beautiful carousel of 30 hand-carved wooden animals—as well as the Rose Gardens, a rare collection of roses from all over the world. From the gardens, we will then explore the city of Victoria, passing by Beacon Hill Park and Mile Zero, the official starting point of Highway 1—the Trans-Canada Highway. During the day we will also have a tour of the parliament buildings before returning to Vancouver in the evening.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel or similar

Day 3 : Vancouver City Tour - Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge - Whistler - Vancouver

In the morning we set off to explore old town Vancouver. Our tour of this part of the city takes us to Gastown, an area of town most known for its European architecture, and the steam clock of Gastown—one of the last few steam clocks still functioning in the world. From here we take in the rest of the city’s charming sites: Queen Elizabeth Park, Chinatown, and Stanley Park. A world renowned park right on the edge of Downtown Vancouver, the 400 hectare natural rainforest is a mystical blend of water, mountains, sky and magnificent trees as well as kilometers of hiking trails and historic landmarks. After pass by the Howe Sound Bay, we head to the North Shore to visit the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. A popular destination for tourists and locals alike, the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is a 50 meter high bridge covering the raging waters of Lynn Canyon. As pedestrians cross the span, the bridge bounces and sways slightly, making crossing the bridge and taking in the views an exciting experience. Our journey north continues as we travel to Whistler—the world snow resort and the former site of the 2010 Olympics. After spending the remainder of the day in Whistler, we return to Vancouver in the evening.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel or similar

Day 4 : Vancouver - Hope - Kamloops - Glacier National Park - Golden

On our fourth day together we travel east to Glacier National Park, Golden, and beyond. Along the way we first stop in the town of Hope, a beautiful town at the intersection of the Coquihalla and Fraser rivers in the interior of the province. Our next stop is the city of Kamloops—famous for ginseng production as well as skiing—before moving on to the famous “Last Spike” of the Canadian Pacific Railway. This site marks the ceremonial final spike that completed the CPR railway and essentially united the country from east to west. After that we travel to the Three Valley Lake recreation area before passing through Glacier National Park and the infamously steep and scenic Roger’s Pass. We will be spending the night in Golden, British Columbia.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Ponderosa Inn Golden or similar

Day 5 : Natural Bridge - Moraine Lake - Lake Louise - Bow Falls

Day five of our trip features visits to some of the iconic national parks of the Canadian Rockies. We start by visiting the stunning Natural Bridge of Yoho National Park. A bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River, the Natural Bridge creates a beautiful waterfall and water pools. From here we move on to Moraine Lake, the green bluish lake has been used on the back of the Canadian twenty dollar bill, and has been used as a preview image for Google, Microsoft, Blackberry, and National Geographic. Though it will be hard to top this spectacle, we will then next visit the rest of Banff where you can visit the iconic and picturesque Lake Louise and Bow Falls. From the lake shore of Lake Louise at the Chateau to its gorgeous overlook, today is surely unforgettable. We will spend the night at Canmore.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): The Wind Tower Lodge and Suite or similar

Day 6 : Peyto Lake - Columbia Ice Field - Glacier Skywalk - Mount Robson - Sun Peaks

Today, we will continue our alpine lake visit to Peyto Lake. But these attractions aren’t even the most spectacular parts of the day. We explore the ancient glacier of the Columbia Icefield. The largest ice field in the Canadian Rockies, the icefields feed eight major glaciers in the region. While in the Rockies, be sure to take in the adrenaline inducing sites of the Glacier Skywalk—a glass platform extending 918 feet over glacier formed valleys and waterfalls. From this lofty perch you’ll be able to view a world where high peaks surround you from above and the birds fly beneath you. After our visit to the highest peak in Canadian Rockies, Mount Robson, we will then head to the Sun Peaks resort, a resort famous for the downhill mountain bike races as well as skiing and snowboarding. We will be spending the night in Sun Peaks.

Standard Hotel (2 star to 3 star): Coast Sundance Lodge or similar

Day 7 : Sun Peaks - Vancouver - Hometown

On our last day together we travel back west to Vancouver, but not before stopping along the way at the Lulu Island Winery.
